Comparing payment processing options

Eventbrite offers three payment processing options: Eventbrite Payment Processing (direct deposit), PayPal, and Authorize.net (US & Canada only). Eventbrite Payment Processing is the default setting and gives you and your attendees the best experience with lower costs and easy online purchasing. Choose 'Payment Options' under 'Payments' in the navigation on your event dashboard to check which payment processor suits your event.

Eventbrite Payment Processing

Eventbrite Payment Processing (direct deposit) is the easiest way to take payments online. Benefits: ☑️ Smooth purchase experience - Attendees can stay on Eventbrite or on your website to complete their purchase. Eventbrite Payment Processing - List of countries, currencies, purchase methods

Find out if you can use Eventbrite Payment Processing for your event by going to your Event Dashboard. Click 'Payment Options' (under Payments) and select the correct country and currency for your event. Eventbrite Payment Processing shows automatically if it's available. PayPal

eblink{PayPal=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=3461} gives the option to set up online payments for countries and currencies where Eventbrite Payment Processing isn't available. Before you start, there are a couple of things to note: ☑️ PayPal payment processing fees are added on top of Eventbrite's service fees. eblink{Eventbrite invoices you for the Eventbrite service fees=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=4213} each month. ☑️ The eblink{PayPal processing fee=>https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees} varies by country/currency and is subject to change at PayPal's discretion. ☑️ Payouts are sent to your PayPal account immediately after a purchase is completed, but it can take a few days for these to show in your bank account. ☑️ Accept checks or cash by eblink{setting up offline payment options=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=3389} in addition to online payment. Go to your Event Dashboard. Click 'Payment Options' (under Payments) and select the correct country and currency for your event. If Eventbrite Payment Processing is not available, PayPal is selected automatically. Just put in the email address of your PayPal account to set up your payouts. If you have access to Eventbrite Payment Processing, but you prefer to use PayPal, select 'PayPal' in the dropdown and put in the email address of your PayPal account.

Authorize.net

eblink{Authorize.net=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=3457} is only available for events that take payments in U.S. dollars or Canadian dollars. You need to have a Professional or Premium Package. eblink{Contact Eventbrite's Customer Experience team=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/contact-us} to set this up on your account. Before you start, here are a couple of things to know: ☑️ You can use your existing merchant account. ☑️ The payment processing fee varies based on gateway fees and applicable discount rates. ☑️ It can take a few days for the payouts to show in your bank account as it takes a few days to process the payments. ☑️ Make sure that your Authorize.Net account is set to Live and test if it works before promoting your event. Once Authorize.net is set up on your account, this will be the default payment processor for each of your events. If you'd like to switch to another payment processor, simply select your preferred choice in the dropdown in 'Payment Options' (under Payments).

NOTE: Offline payment methods are not available for events using Authorize.Net.
