How to set up a Boca printer and print tickets with Eventbrite Organizer

Boca printers are available through eblink{our retail partner=>https://boca-for-eventbrite.myshopify.com} and are great for printing tickets onsite. Next, connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi network (supported by the router) and open Eventbrite Organizer, our box office app. Then choose your event, tap “Settings,” and then “Printing.” Add your printers IP address to complete the setup. Troubleshooting Tips

Most issues are resolved by establishing a wired, LAN (local area network) setup and manually adding your Boca printer within the Eventbrite Organizer app.

1. Boca printer doesn't show in the "Discovered Printers List" in the Eventbrite Organizer app.

Check that all wired connections are correctly in place (especially the connection between the Boca printer and your router). If the printer still doesn't show in the list, you can manually add it within the Eventbrite Organizer app using the IP address of the Boca printer. To get the IP address, press the "Test" button on the side of the Boca printer to print a test ticket. The “IP ADD” field on the test ticket shows the IP address (e.g., 192.168.001.115). Once you have the IP Address, open Eventbrite Organizer and navigate to Settings > General > Printing. Type the IP address of the Boca printer into the “Printer IP address” field, then tap "Go".

TIP: If you receive a "Printer Not Available" error, the printer may need a few more seconds to establish the connection request. Tap "Try Again" and the printer should connect.

2. Boca printer hasn't been assigned an IP address by the router.

If your Boca printer still doesn't have an IP address: 1. Make sure the network cables are securely plugged in to the Boca printer and router. 2. Confirm the activity lights are on/blinking on the router. 3. Power cycle the Boca printer (turn the printer off for 30 seconds, then turn it back on). 4. Wait a few minutes before printing a test ticket to confirm the IP address for the printer.

TIP: These steps can also be used to resolve the "No network connection" error.

3. Printing Errors.

• Out of paper — Load more ticket stock to resume printing. • Paper jam — Remove the jammed ticket to resume printing. • Cutter jam — Fix the cutter and remove the jammed ticket to resume printing.

TIP: For the "Out of paper" error, you may need to open the larger ticket holding area and load tickets. Otherwise, ticket stock is loaded through the back of the Boca printer.

4. General Errors.

The following are considered general errors: • Printer memory issue • Bad command sent to printer • Power-up problem - Printer failed to start up correctly • Printer could not download something properly • Printer is unresponsive Steps to resolve: 1. Wait 60 seconds. 2. Press the "Test" button to see if printing resumes. — If not, restart the printer. 3. Repeat Steps 1-2 a few times.
