Canceling your event is not an easy decision to make, but Eventbrite can help make the process of doing so easier. First make sure to change your event status to “Canceled”. Then, email your attendees and issue refunds.

Things to note.</h3> <p>☑️  When an event is canceled, Eventbrite requires refunds. <br><br>☑️  If an event is canceled or postponed, refunds will be for the entire purchase—that includes the ticket price and the Eventbrite fees.<br><br>☑️  Always let your attendees know when you cancel an event. Change your event status.</h2> <p>Change the event status to “canceled”. This will pause ticket sales online and potential ticket buyers can see this new status on the event page.</p> <h3 id="02-1">1. Set the event status to canceled.</h3> <ol><li>Go to the Event Dashboard and click “On Sale”. </li><li>Select “Change Status”. Notify your attendees that the event is canceled. </h2> Once the event status is set to “Canceled”, you’ll automatically see the option to send an email to your attendees.  <h3 id="03-1">1. Email your attendees.</h3> <p>Edit the template or create your own email to attendees. Make sure to include:</p> <ul><li>When they can expect refunds</li><li>Who attendees can contact for questions. Refund all orders.</h2> <p>When an event is canceled, Eventbrite requires refunds. You have two refund options:</p> <ul><li>Refund back to the original payment method used to buy the ticket</li><li>Issue a credit that attendees can use for your future events ($USD only)</li></ul> <h3 id="04-1">1. Issue refunds.</h3> <p>Go to “Manage events” in your account and select your event. Then, go to &quot;Orders&quot; (under “Manage attendees”). </p> <ol><li>Click “Issue multiple refunds”.</li><li>Choose a refund method ($USD only). </li><li>Click “Select all”.</li><li>Click “Refund”. </li><li>Confirm the number of refunds and click “Issue X refunds”. (The number will reflect the total number of orders you’ve selected.) </li></ol> <p>This process can’t be stopped or reversed once the refunds are in progress. When the process is complete, review the status column. Issue any unsuccessful refunds individually instead. </p> <h3 id="04-2">2.
