How to make a subuser the account administrator

EXAMPLE: Jessie handles event promotion for Networking for Nerds, but has just announced that she's leaving the organization to pursue her MBA. Before she leaves, she wants to give her Eventbrite account access to James, who will handle event management from now on.

NOTE: You don't have to be a subuser to take over, but you can't already have an Eventbrite account. eblink{Check out this article=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=6374} if you're getting an error message that the email address you're trying to add already has an Eventbrite account.

1. Go to Account Settings.

After you eblink{log into the main Eventbrite account=>https://www.eventbrite.com/login target=_blank}, access the account menu and select eblink{Account Settings=>https://www.eventbrite.com/account}.

2. Go to "Multi-User Access" (under Organizer).

Organizer is the second section in the options menu.

3. Delete the subuser account.

You'll see a list of all the subuser email addresses with access to the main Eventbrite account. Choose "Delete" next to the email address you're going to make the administrator. This will separate their account from your account, so they can eblink{close it=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=3259} and be made the new administrator of your account.

NOTE: You should check with the subuser before deleting their account to make sure that they do want to use the email address currently registered as a subuser.

4. Select "Contact Info" (under Account).

Account is the first section in the options menu.

5. Change the email address on the main Eventbrite account.

Select "Change" to change the email address on the main Eventbrite account. You'll need to enter the current password on the account to make the change.

NOTE: Remember—you can only change the account email address to an email that isn't associated with an existing Eventbrite account!

6. Save your changes.

After choosing "Save," you'll see a success message indicating that the email address on the main account has been updated.

TIP: The email address previously associated with the account will also receive an email from ebhelp@eventbrite.com letting them know their account information has changed.

PRO TIP: After changing the email address on the main account, you can select "Password" (under Account) to eblink{reset the password on the main account=>https://www.eventbrite.com/resetpassword}.
