Here's how you do it:
With Eventbrite Organizer, it's easy to limit or restrict check-in to specific tickets (like VIP-only entrances). Here's how: Select your event > More > Settings > Check-In Restrictions (under "Event") > tick the box next to "Allow All" or only the ticket(s) you want to be checked in on that device.
PRO TIP: If you want other people to eblink{check-in attendees at your event=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=5872}, you can eblink{grant subusers access to Eventbrite Organizer=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=3210} from the eblink{Account Settings=>https://www.eventbrite.com/account} section of the main account (on a web browser).
After you eblink{create an event=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=5035} and eblink{download Eventbrite Organizer=>https://www.eventbrite.com/l/Organizer-check-in-app/}, log in using your Eventbrite credentials (email address and password). Then tap your event from the "Select Event" screen.
You can set the check-in restrictions to: • Allow All — all ticket types can be checked in by the device • Specific ticket(s) — only the specific ticket(s) can be check in by the device; others register as invalid for entry
EXAMPLE: Will's venue has a specific entrance for VIP ticket holders, so he limits check-ins on his device to just the "VIP" ticket type. If non-VIP ticket holders come through the line, he can direct them to the appropriate check-in area for their ticket type.
PRO TIP: If you're eblink{selling tickets at your event with Eventbrite Organizer=>https://www.eventbrite.com/support/articleredirect?anum=5782}, you can automatically check-in attendees who purchase a particular ticket type. Enable "Auto Check-In" under More > Settings > Event.
