The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all

 

YWCA of Northwest Louisiana, whose aim was to implement the YWCA's mission to eliminate racism and empower women in the Shreveport community, was incorporated on March 10, 1925.  From that time through the years, the YWCA has been one of our community's most respected organizations.  Programs and services offered includes:  Trauma Recovery program, LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment, and Development) for at-risk girls agThe YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.e 11-18, Senior Advocacy program, Parent Education, Racial Justice, and The FREE Coalition Anti-Human Trafficking program, as well supporting national and international efforts that embrace the mission of the YWCA.
