Launched in 2013, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is U.S. government’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia initiated by 44th President of United States of America, President Barack Obama as a mechanism to enhance and create more young leaders across Southeast Asia and to strengthen the bilateral relationship between United States of America with the countries in ASEAN region.

YSEALI focuses on critical topics identified by youth in the region: civic engagement, environment and natural resources management, and entrepreneurship and economic development. Programs under YSEALI; Professional Fellowships to the United States, Academic Fellowships to the United States, Regional Workshops, Grant Funding.

YSEALI are the group of age between 15-35 years old from ASEAN country who making difference to the communities, nation, and region with a different kind of approach and understanding.
