MARK LAYTON is an industry-recognized expert on project/program management and active coach on complex Agile implementations.
Mark is the Los Angeles chair for the Agile Project Leadership Network and the founder of Platinum Edge, Inc., an organization improvement company that supports businesses looking to strategically improve project ROI.
Mark holds MBAs from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the National University of Singapore; a B.Sc. (summa cum laude) in Behavioral Science from Pitzer College/University of La Verne; and an A.S. in Electronic Systems from the Air Force’s Air College. He is also a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force’s Leadership School, a certified Scrum Master, a certified Scrum Practitioner and a certified SCPM (Stanford University Advanced Project Management).
MICHELE SLIGER has worked in software development for over 20 years and is the owner of Sliger Consulting Inc. She is the co-author of The Software Project Manager’s Bridge to Agility. A self-described “bridge builder,” her passion lies in helping those in traditional software development environments cross the bridge to agility. A frequent conference speaker and regular contributor to software industry publications, Michele is a strong advocate of agile principles and value-driven development practices. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST). A former adjunct graduate professor at the University of Colorado, she holds an undergraduate MIS degree from the University of South Florida and an MBA. When not working, Michele volunteers as a grief facilitator for teens at Judi's House, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children learn how to cope with the loss of a loved one.
