Your Call, KALW's public affairs show

KALW’s public affairs call-in show, Your Call has launched a new series exploring the connections between Japanese American incarceration during WWII and modern threats to civil liberties. It's called, HEAR: Histories of Exclusion And Resistance.

More than 100,000 Japanese Americans were forced from their homes and imprisoned in camps between 1942 and 1946, the culmination of rising war hysteria and racist rhetoric. Host Rose Aguilar will speak to community members, movement leaders, activists, scholars, and those with lived experiences.

Join Your Call for community discussions that explore public understanding of the past and its parallels to today.
