Here is a letter from Sid Cash, the Winter Park Pride Chairman:
The Larry Gergley Stadium, home of Showalter Field and the Bob Moser track is a source of pride for our Winter Park Community. Year round, Winter Park High School hosts its home games and activities including football, marching band, lacrosse, soccer, track and field, flag football and cheerleading. Additionally, district and state (potential) championship track meets are held at Showalter Field. Winter Park Pop Warner football, cheer teams and other youth organizations also call Showalter home.
Showalter Field has not been renovated since 1986 and is in dire need of major renovation as its current condition does not fit our platform for excellence at Winter Park. An estimated $250,000 is needed to restore it to a place of pride for our community. Please join “Winter Park Pride” to make this project a reality! Along with community partners including the City of Winter Park and Rollins College, we are currently accepting sponsorships for this event.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and we look forward to receiving your support.
Chairman, Winter Park Pride
