Women's Board of the Chicago Urban League

The Women’s Board of the Chicago Urban League is a dynamic group of women who raise funds for the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Scholarship Fund. We take our commitment seriously to one of the country’s oldest African American organizations—the National Urban League. The auxiliary was organized in 1966 by Dr. Arnita Young Boswell, the sister of Whitney M. Young, Jr., and to this day, Women’s Board members play an active role in advancing the growth of the Chicago Urban League through direct service and fundraising. Beyond our fundraising efforts, many of us volunteer our time in other ways for the Chicago Urban League. We form enduring friendships with women, who share our passion and commitment to education and service.
