West Virginia Agriculture Advisory Board

Please join us for a community meeting to create strategies to advance the agriculture economy of West Virginia!

The West Virginia Agricultural Advisory Board has come together to develop a five-year strategic plan to guide the growth of the agricultural economy in West Virginia. This process represents a historic occasion: the first time in recent history that all state agencies involved with agriculture have come together to create a shared plan! Those agencies include:

- WV Department of Agriculture

- WV Farm Bureau

- USDA WV Natural Resources Conservation Service

- WV Conservation Agency

- WVU Extension Service

- WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design

- West Virginia State University Extension Service

And we want YOUR HELP! Based on a survey of over 500 producers and agricultural stakeholders, we have honed in on 8 broad opportunities to grow the agriculture economy. Our next step is to host community meetings across all 14 conservation districts in the state. Through these meetings, you will help us transform these broad opportunities into real strategies for change.

To participate, we need you to tell us two things:

1. What meeting works best for you?

Register for the date and location below that works best for you! All meetings will be from 6pm - 8pm. RSVP is required!

2. What opportunities would you like to discuss?

8 opportunity areas rose to the top through the survey. IN THE EVENT DETAILS, CLICK THE LINK TO TELL US WHAT TOPIC YOU'D LIKE TO DISCUSS - we'll ask you to pick the top 3 opportunity areas you are interested in. For each meeting, will will faciliate conversations around the 3 most popular, based on all respondants for that meeting. This ensures that we make the most of the expertise in the room in our limited time. But we can’t guarantee that one of your top 3 will make it into the final top 3 for your meeting.
