UrsulaInc™ Events

Ursula Kendall Johnson by way of Ursula_Inc was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Her finesse and energy has always been a magnet to those around her, beginning her dance training at the age of three. Ursula really captivated the audience of her peers and teachers as a graduating student of Tri-Cities High School Turner Visual and Performing Arts Magnet Honoree. Given the god gifted talents, she landed a partial scholarship for the summer intensive program at one of the world’s strongest presence in the dance communities, The Alvin Ailey School. Also performed the half time at Superbowl XXIV, and numerous music videos with icons such as Devyn Stevens. Ursula studied pre-med biology at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, she went on to dance for the Dillard Diamonds dance team, where she choreographed some of their best featured pieces to be aired on BET’s 106th and Park.

As a resident of New Orleans, Ursula tapped into the film industry and landed five movie features as a dancer in “RAY”, Disney’s “Stuck in da Suburbs” and extra acting spots in Déjà vu, Snow Wonder, and Failure to Launch. Knowing that her talents lies beyond the average commercial artist she maintained her love for concert dance as a featured dancer in a small New Orleanean company Tekrema, where she studied internationally and nationally with mentor and choreographer Greer Mendy. This fed her soul to travel more and study beyond the United States Walls. Ursula has performed at the Roots Festival, Gwaka Festival and toured as a dancer to London, UK, Gambia, Senegal, Banjul, West Africa as well as the Netherlands.

Performing and touring with other choreographers opened her own box of creative juices, she too began to seek her own opportunities to present, create and explore in her own works. So she built an empire Ursula_Inc, which holds the cards to her most innovative ideas, concepts and businesses such as “SHE Created IT”. An all female platform where the words SHE Created IT means anything you desire to create, innovate and produce, you can do it. And if you need help, don’t hesitate to ask. With the mentality of becoming a ICON for African American female dancer and choreographer, Ursula_Inc is now featured on national tv such as VH1, print media for City of Atlanta Cultural Art Affairs, choreographing for celebrity artists such as Fantasia Barrino, Nicci Gilbert of R&B Divas, Elizabeth Withers of Oprah Winfrey’s Broadway The Color Purple and many many more.
