Turner is a North America-based, international construction services company and is a leading builder in diverse market segments. With a staff of over 5,800 employees, the company completes over $12 billion of construction on 1,500 projects each year. Founded in 1902 by Henry C. Turner, Turner Construction Company is now recognized as the largest general contractor in the country and an industry leader across a diverse range of market segments and sub-disciplines— including commercial, education, healthcare, sports, aviation, pharmaceutical, retail and green building. ​Engineering News-Record has once again ranked Turner the number one general builder in the country as part of their annual Top 400 Contractors Sourcebook. Turner has earned a spot in the top 10 every year since 1964, when the magazine launched the annual rankings.

Turner’s Mid-Atlantic Group, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, serves all of Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia, and delivers in excess of $500 million annually in construction volume. The Mid-Atlantic Group employs over 300 local personnel to leverage, supported by a large national network. Projects range in size and complexity – from the very large, such as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Headquarters, the Newseum, and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, to smaller base buildings, specialized projects, office interiors and fit-outs.
