Tina B Melo is a former NY Woman's Sweater and Knitwear Designer, a European Fashion Analyst and Trend Forecaster of The Melo Reports, a fashion show expert, and experienced avid fundraiser. Tina speaks seven languages and has over thirty plus years of extensive travel experience throughout Europe and Asia.

 

Recently a speaker on TEDX SALVE REGINA - YOUNG DESIGNERS CHANGING THE WORLD.

Since 2000, Tina began focusing on children's health, education, and child-rasing skills. Her creative and mothering nature lead her to an eight year private independent research project into the benefits of and lack of creativity in a child's life. Also the effects the Arts have  on their educational learning process and well-being. Tina found that the lack of leads to children's loss of interest in school. She also found that there were hundreds of benefits the arts do have on thier wellbeing- including recovery from the most serious of traumas, neglect and abuse. This lead Tina Melo to the launch of The Indigo Justice Project /Collection on April 1, 2016, along with a global team of concerned mothers and fathers.

Tina became a certified paralegal, in 2008 from Boston University. In 2014, she received a citation from The Rhode Island House Of Representatives, as a voice and advocate for all children and the future of all children from The Parent Leadership Institute (PLTI).

In May 2014 The Melo Project Runway For Youth was officially launched, after three long years of developing a special educational program that would develop and improve on a child's love of learning, build self-confidence, develop and generate hands on skills through fashion design and painting, but most of all to help kids step into thier best selves. Growing up Empowered.

 

In August 2016, Tina received the award for Leadership and Empowering Women by The NAPW .

Tina received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Apparel Design from The Rhode Island School of Design RISD 86
