EASTERN VIRGINIA HEALTHCARE COALITION
In August 2013, the Hampton Roads Metropolitan Medical Response System (HRMMRS) Healthcare Committee and the Eastern Region Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program Coordinating Group merged to become the Eastern Virginia Healthcare Coalition (EVHC). Together, representatives from regional healthcare partners, including hospitals, EMS, Public Health, Emergency Management, and Long Term Care collaborate to ensure healthcare and public health resiliency in the Eastern Region. Building on the solid foundation of over 12 years of collaboration, coordination, and preparedness relationships throughout the region, the Eastern Virginia Healthcare Coalition endeavors to develop and promote the emergency preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery capabilities of local healthcare entities.
