About Princess Johnson

Princess Johnson is a native of Greensboro, NC. Entrepreneurship was instilled in her at a very young age, as she was an avid Baby Sitter's Club reader, started a neighborhood store with her sister, and anytime there was something she wanted to do...she worked to raise money to make it happen! Her most memorable experience of being introduced to entrepreneurship was when Joe Dudley of Dudley Hair Care Products came to her school and had her 3rd class chant, "I am. I can. and I will!", then he proceeded to give every student a dollar to start their savings. Princess held on to those words and that $1 for a very long time!

Princess attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduated with honors with a B. A. in Dance Studies with a concentration in Studio Teaching and a B. S. in Business and
Economics with a concentration on Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship. Princess was the recipient of the NC Arts Council Arts Management Internship Grant in 2007 and she also did a Dance Company Management Internship with Richmond Ballet in 2008. Both of these internships introduced Princess to the nonprofit management world and prepared her for operating a nonprofit. She currently works her dream job: running a professional dance company.
Since the age of 15, she pursued the dream to operate her own dance company and it came to fruition in April 2009 with the inception of Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet, a nonprofit dance company in Greensboro, NC.

Prior to going full time at her dance company she worked for Black Network Television as an Operations Manager and Takeout Triad as an Office Manager. There she developed her skill of planning and implementing business functions and processes for small businesses. She was a key employee to the growth and development of each organization during their seed stage of development and still keeps a close relationship with the owners.

When Princess is not teaching classes, choreographing, dancing, or consulting businesses, she enjoys spending time with her husband, going for walks, catching up with friends, and reading books!
