The Weiss Child Advocacy Center

The Weiss Child Advocacy Center is a safe place for children to come during an open investigation of abuse or neglect. Weiss works alongside law enforcement and child protective services by providing child-centered forensic interviews, forensic medical exams, trauma-informed victim advocacy services, referrals to community organizations,CASA (court appointed special advocates), family support groups, and court accompaniment with the Center's very own advocacy dog, Daphne!

In addition, the Weiss Child Advocacy Center works to inform the community about child abuse and ways to intervene and protect our children, including: Darkness to Light training, Safe Sleep training, and Mandated Reporter training.

Weiss Child Advocacy Center serves all Genesee County children by providing a safe haven for child abuse victims and their families. Weiss envisions a community in which all children enjoy lives free from abuse/neglect and feel safe in secure in their relationships. All of Weiss’ services are completely free to the family.  Weiss creates a vital link between community services and victims of child abuse.
