MAY 26-29, 2017 - in various venues in N/NE Portland.

Through theater, documentaries, historic exhibit, lectures, and tours we honor the experience of those who lived there.

To honor the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the city of Vanport, built to this year’s festival aims to engage Portlanders in an exploration of community histories around the themes of home, housing, migration, and displacement.

The Vanport Mosaic is a collective of artists, historians, educators, and media makers who seek to engage the public in remembering the silenced histories of the Pacific Northwest to better understand our present. Our main event is the annual four-day Vanport Mosaic Festival, founded in 2015 by Laura Lo Forti, Damaris Webb, and S. Renee Mitchell. In 2016, Vanport Mosaic expanded our offerings to include year-long programming in the areas of film, dramatic performance, educational workshops, and guided tours. Thank you for joining us!
