The Tuskegee Airmen National Historical Museum, Inc.

The Tuskegee Airmen National Historical Museum has been a national, cultural and historical treasure since its inception in 1987.  Visit the museum at Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit, MI, and you will find aircraft, artifacts, memorabilia, and occasionally one of the Original Tuskegee Airmen all telling the story of their incredible history and contributions to our nation, beginning in World War II.

The mission of the museum is to provide a central repository for the preservation of documents, equipment and other memorabilia donated by the members of the Tuskegee Airmen and others, to conduct worldwide research in order to document and discover the contributions of blacks in the fields of aviation and aerospace.  The museum also seeks to inspire underprivileged African American youth to pursue excellence in science and mathematics with a view towards careers in those fields.
