On April 9, 2011, The 1st Taste of Louisiana Festival was held in the small town of Lake Charles, LA at the City’s Civic Center Amphitheater. Shortly after the inaugural event, a leading media source in the city, Town Square Media, conducted a listener’s survey and ranked the festival # 4 in the city. Not bad for a new festival!
The following year, The Taste of Louisiana Festival was held on May 26, 2012. Since the event took place on Memorial Weekend, coupled with the increased interest in the event itself, the festival was moved to the Lake Charles Boardwalk to accommodate the growing audience. After the success of the second event, it was discovered that the majority of our guests were traveling from Houston and its surrounding suburbs.
In 2013-2014 The Taste of Louisiana Festival, LLC began its transition to feed the demand of their newly discovered audience and responded by moving the festival to The City of Sugarland,TX.
