Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certifications are industry recognized certifications demonstrating one's tech proficiency to an employer or prospective college.  MOS certifications validate ones tech knowledge in a Microsoft Office application.  MTA certifications are for tech professionals with tracks in software development, databases (data platform administration and business intelligence), and IT infrastructure (desktop and server infrastructure and private cloud computing).  For a limited time, The Seattle Public Library is partnering with Washington State Library to offer the MOS and MTA exams free of charge - a value of more than $125 per exam. Certification exams are available for:

Are you prepared to pass?

To ensure you have the best chance of passing your certification exam, please review any of the MOS and MTA study materials:


MOS and MTA exams are offered in 75 minute sessions on alternating Mondays (2:15-3:30pm and 3:30-4:45pm) and Wednesdays (3:15-4:30pm and 4:30-5:45pm) December, thur March (with exception of Wednesday March 29th).  Also one special Sunday series will be offered on March 26th (2-3pm, 3-4pm, 4-5pm).  Registration opens on Eventbrite one month in advance of each session.
