The Reston Chorale is an auditioned, mixed-voice ensemble that has excited audiences with its musical excellence and versatility for more than 45 years. Under the direction of Artistic Director David B. Lang, the Chorale sings a full repertoire that varies in style from choral masterworks of Bach and Beethoven to contemporary compositions. The Reston Chorale has commissioned and premiered more than a dozen works by American composers James Grant, Daniel Gawthrop, Donald McCullough, David Ott, Scott Solak, Julius Williams and others.
The Chorale has performed throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area in such venues as the John F. Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, the George Mason University Center for the Performing Arts and the Hylton Performing Arts Center. At the invitation of Composer Donald McCullough, members of The Reston Chorale took part in the November 9, 2014, New York premiere of In the Shadow of the Holocaust at New York’s Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall.
