The Renaissance TRIO Training Project is one of the cadre of training programs that provide professional development for programs funded within the Office of Federal TRIO Programs by the US Department of Education. Each project provides specific deliberables that support the needs of staff employed in, participating in, or preparing for employment in projects funded under thee Federal TRIO Programs in one of six absolute priorities. Renaissance provides training in two of these priorities, namely,
Priority 1 -- record keeping, reporting student and project performance, and the rigorous evaluation of project performance in order to design and operate a model program; and
Priority 6 -- general program management for new project directors (who have been in their positions less than two years) to provide them with the basic tools to be a TRIO director and serve TRIO students.
The Renaissance Education Group, Inc. operates a high quality training unit, as benchmarked against national standards, and as evidenced by its approved authorized provider of CEU's through the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET provider # 1307525. Dr. Kenneth Mitchell is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) and serves as the Project Director for the Renaissance TRIO Training Project as a grant funded program with the US Department of Education.
