The Redhills Project

The Redhills Project is a campaign for the preservation and restoration of Red Hill, the headquarters of Durham Miner's Association. Redhills was built in 1915, financed by the subscriptions of 200,000 miners and was at the very centre of the County Durham Coalfield. Now over a hundred years on the DMA want the building to be preserved for future generations as a hub for learning, practise and performance - becoming once again the beating heart of the Durham Coalfield area.
