The Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California

The Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California was launched in January 2001. OCC’s goal is to save lives through education, early detection, awareness and fund ovarian cancer research. OCC is a partner member of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance based in Washington D.C and the California Ovarian Cancer Awareness Program.
OCC consists of Ovarian Cancer survivors, their friends and families, medical and health care professionals and community members whose lives have been touched by cancer.

OCC is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501-c advocacy organization.

What We Do To Keep Hope Alive:

  • OCC participates in a variety of community events including education and health events.
  • OCC has Ovarian Cancer survivors who provide free educational presentations to interested community groups and healthcare personnel.
  • OCC supports the state of California and federal legislation designed to provide necessary funding for Ovarian Cancer research.
  • OCC offers information and outreach to those newly diagnosed linking them with support services and Ovarian Cancer survivors in the community.
  • OCC develops networks within the community and state with other organizations.
  • OCC advocates the scientific understanding and research of Ovarian Cancer in order to find a better test for early detection and therapies to find a cure.
