The Mad Table

Patty Ruiz, Chef/Owner of The Mad Table (TMT) offers private and semi-private interactive culinary classes, caters small events and dinner parties and offers personal chef services.

My cooking style is eclectic all the way! Classy gourmet-ish, rustic and earthy! When I decided to pursue this dream of a cooking career, I might have driven all my loved ones a little mad along with me. However, I’m really proud to say that I was recently invited to join the prestigious Les Dames d’Escoffier’s Miami Chapter. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, ServeSafe Certified and an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts at the Miami Culinary Institute. Being involved in the community is important to me. Here are some of the community events and programs that I have participated in: Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Miami Book Fair International, Coconut Grove Art Festival Guest Chef, MDC Dinner for World-Renowned Spanish Chef Juan Mari Arzak, Miami & Ft. Lauderdale Home Design & Remodeling Show, Baptist Health Breast Cancer Sauté and Sip Interactive Dinner.

Teaching Philosophy:

Whether you’re trying to cook dinner for your family or planning a dinner party for 50, we want to help you put together the best experience for each occasion. True cooking allows for all kinds of exceptions. We are not restaurateurs, nor should we be; that’s what restaurants are for! Our love for offering memorable experiences is what makes us unique, and we believe it’s where our skills and talents are at their best, combining great food with a comfortable and beautiful ambience.

We believe in elevating the basic act of eating to something greater. Memories are created when the eyes feast too! It all sounds a little crazy, and that’s how The Mad Table was born!
