What is the Georgia Colorectal Cancer Roundtable?

  • Created in 2015 as an initiative of the Georgia Cancer Control Consortium
  •  Statewide multi-organizational collaborative comprised of leading organizations working towards the common goal of improving colorectal cancer outcomes in Georgia
  •  Modeled after the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable
  •  Vision and Goal: To serve as the logistical vehicle to reach 80x2018 in Georgia
  •  Inaugural forum launched in March 2016

What is 80% by 2018?

Led by the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (NCCRT), an organization co-founded by the American Cancer Society and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 80% by 2018 is a national initiative to increase the colorectal cancer screening rate to 80% for adults over the age of 50. To date, more than 1,000 organizations across the country have committed to this goal.
