The Diaper Alliance

The Diaper Alliance is a grass root 501(c)(3) serving other non-profit agencies in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Our mission is to bridge the gap in public assistance by providing a consistent and reliable supply of diapers to the financially vulnerable members of our community through a network of partner agencies. We purchase all the diapers, incontinence
products and feminie hygiene products we distribute. We are primarily funded through grants, foundations, donations and fund-raising efforts.

WHY DIAPERS MATTER

  • 47% of children age 0-3 live in low-income families throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region
  • Government programs like WIC and Bridge Cards do not allow their resources to be used for diapers, adult incontinence products or feminine hygiene products.
  • We are supplying products that cater to basic human needs
  • Every person deserves dignity and the opportunity of independence
  • Students miss school due to lack of feminine hygiene products
  • Adults are homebound without proper coverage
  • Daycare providers insist on a supply of diapers for each child in their care
  • Without diapers, parents cannot work or attend school preventing them from a future of financial independence

A HEALTHY SUPPLY OF DIAPERS FOR ONE CHILD COSTS ROUGHLY $75.00 PER MONTH. PARENTS MUST CHOOSE BETWEEN PURCHASING FOOD, PAYING BILLS, OR BUYING DIAPERS FOR THEIR CHILD.

We focus on distributing our products to collaborative partnering agencies who qualify recipients making sure we are helping those in need. These agencies also offer other courses and support to help lead the way to a more secure future, parenting classes, education and independence.
