The Dante's Boys Foundation

The Dante's Boys Foundation (formerly The Dante Benedetti Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Our Mission

The mission of The Dante's Boys Foundation (DBF) is to facilitate active participation in sports for under served youth. Our objective is to preserve the legacy that Dante Benedetti left the San Francisco community by supporting the development of the next generation of Dante’s boys through the game of baseball.

Our Inspiration

The DBF is dedicated to continuing the spirit and legacy of Dante Benedetti. Simply put, helping kids through the game of baseball.

For nearly 40 years Dante was San Francisco's own Mr. Baseball to thousands of boys and young men. His kindness, generosity and occasional firm hand guided many a young boy away from trouble and back onto the road to becoming responsible adults. His legacy is seen today throughout our community as "Dante's boys" have become policeman, doctors, coaches, teachers, and businessmen.
