The Cook and a Somm is a catering company specializing in gourmet underground supper clubs. Founded by a veteran cook and sommelier who enjoy the camaraderie of eating and drinking together and sharing that passion with guests, who may come as strangers but always leave as friends.

Chef John Reuter and certified Sommelier Keith Osborne closely collaborate to design themed menus which are artfully presented and thoughtfully paired with appropriate wines. John’s cooking is contemporary American with a real eye for detail and extraordinary, creative flavor combinations that will satisfy even the most avid foodie. Keith’s stellar wine pairings and presentation strike a comfortable balance between education and entertainment with the aim of creating connections between people who might never cross paths otherwise.

Through the Cook and a Somm, John and Keith seek to share, develop and foster a passion for food and wine in Southern California’s coastal communities and beyond.
