The Boaz Organization for Youth

Lydia Boaz is a licensed social worker whose passion is to work with unaccompanied migrant youth. She has worked with youth in Peru, France, Haiti, her native California, and all across New York City. Lydia received her undergraduate degree from University of Oregon and her Master of Social Work degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She has studied child and adolescent development, with a focus on traumatic experience and its effects on well-being, as well as community organizing. She serves as an active member of the NGO Committees on Child's Rights and Migration, both of which have consultative status to the United Nations. In her spare time, Lydia enjoys dancing and appreciating art and fashion.
