Founded in 1972, the Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of New Jersey is dedicated to the preservation of the Garden State's distinguished, two-century aviation and space heritage.
The men and women, whose outstanding aeronautical achievements have brought worldwide recognition to the state, are enshrined in the Hall of Fame. The museum offers visitors an opportunity to view historic aircraft, air and space artifacts, photographs, fine art and an extensive model collection. Silvio Cavalier Research Library has more than 3000 volumes.
he museum contains a number of unique exhibits including the rocket engine that propelled the X-15 to incredible speed and height records and the first American hovercraft invented by Charles Fletcher.
In addition you'll see aircraft, helicopters, many airplane models and other displays.
The museum's custom-built "Fundamentals of Flight" interactive aerodynamics exhibit is now operational in our Great Room. It was entirely funded by a very generous grant from Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation. Come and enjoy "Fundamentals of Flight" along with other new and recently refurbished exhibits!
We receive valuable support from the Port Authority of NY and NJ in helping us maintain our museum's operation.
