The 2012 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival

The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival (BHF) returns on Monday, July 9th- Saturday, July 14th. This premier week-long, all-ages event attracts over 20,000 fans to Brooklyn annually in a celebration of Hip-Hop music and culture.

In the last seven years, the Festival has achieved a number of memorable milestones with an impressive roster of Hip-Hop acts that include Kanye West, Q-Tip, De La Soul, Lupe Fiasco, Black Thought of The Roots, Big Daddy Kane, KRS ONE, Ghostface Killahand more. 

In July 2011, the Festival continued its mission of making Hip-Hop history by presenting:

  • “Q-Tip & Friends” with Kanye West, (2012 Headliner) Busta Rhymes, Black Thought of The Roots, Monie Love and more
  • The first Bodega Recognition Awards that recognized Hip-Hop’s finest from Bobbito Garcia to Joe Conzo to Jamal Shabazz and more
  • Mr. Magic Tribute with Marley Marl and guests
  • Art Event featuring work by James Blagden and others
2012 is poised to be even better with headliner Busta Rhymes. 

In 2011, BHF broke attendance records with over 20,000 fans attending Performance Day under the Brooklyn Bridge for “Q-Tip & Friends.” 2012 will be even better.
