Terrell Fletcher

Pastor Terrell Fletcher was born in St. Louis, Missouri where he spent all of his childhood. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin on a football scholarship, and majored in English Literature. He helped his team in winning the 1994 Rose Bowl and 1995 Outback Bowl. In April of 1995, he was selected to play for the NFL, and drafted by the San Diego Chargers. But in time he would see that early success, and being young in age makes for a bitter mixture.

This turned out to be the case when his life took for a turn when he was arrested. This threatened his college scholarship and professional future. A friend encouraged him to seek God, and in his moment of despair, he did just that. What started out as great misfortune was actually a blessing in disguise, as this led him to an iron-clad commitment to God, and to this day, his inspiration and purpose.

Throughout his life he has been continually placed in leadership positions: Chairman and Spokesman for Jr. Achievement, and involved with San Diego County Adoptions, the homeless,  Destiny-N-Me, where he offered annual college scholarships to deserving teens and hosted assemblies aimed at acquainting troubled teens with positive role models. He was also active in his local church, where he taught a Bible study and frequently treated the young adults to a pro football game.

His sermons are very popular due to his engaging and humorous manner in delivering the content. His kindness, understanding, and relevancy has made him quite "cool" with the younger crowd, as well as his camaraderie with everyone he meets. He is the Pastor of the City of Hope International Church in San Diego, and has a Bachelor's degree in English Literature as well as a Master’s degree in Religious Studies. He is married and has one son.
