Teresa Hartnett

Teresa Hartnett is a Catholic writer, speaker and founder of the Spirit Fire ministry, which promotes Christ-centered restorative justice for adults, families and faith communities wounded by child abuse.


Spirit Fire offers spiritual mediation, pastoral training and inspiring community events to promote trauma-informed Christian witness and ministries.


Using online and on-site programs and publications, Spirit Fire partners with dioceses, parishes and ministries to support their next steps in programs to serve victims and to help reconcile all who have been harmed in the wake of any abuse or trauma.


As a Catholic survivor of abuse by clergy for over a decade, Teresa offers a unique voice, with practical guidance about integrating Scripture and faith into recovery.


Teresa is a co-founder and editor at The Healing Voices Magazine, an e-zine founded Catholic survivors of clergy abuse to amplify the voices of hope despite hurt by abuse, to promote child abuse prevention, and to foster healing and reconciliation within the Church.


Teresa is produces other communications for groups serving the abused in a context of the Christian faith. She designed and is web master at The Little Grotto and provides author consultation services through The 911 Agent.
