Recent Professional History/Accompishments - 
I. Terrance, has a proven track record as the former Director of the Newark Youth One Stop Career Center, a federal and city funded agency, which is regulated and mostly funded by the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA). The department was also under the auspices of the Office of the Mayor and under Terrance’s direct leadership between January 2009 and April 2013.

· Lead the agency from last to 1st place amongst other youth one stops state-wide. Under Terrance’s leadership the NYOSCC was recognized as a flagship agency whose federal measurements not just met the state and federal benchmarks, but exceeded the states literacy rate by double digits.

· Introduced and administered the 1st College Accredited “State Issued High School Diploma” (formerly titled GED) program at Essex County College.

· Directly hired and managed over 10,000 youth between 2009 and 2013. Supervised over 150 host agencies/worksites and 10 services providers annually. Terrance also supervised over 65 full-time employees.

· Introduced innovative and new programs for at risk-youth ages 14-21; inclusive of high school drop-outs which lead to the success of meeting and exceeding the federal and state requirements.

· Provided budget recommendations’ on the annual budget prior to board and council approval. Post approval of budget, Terrance was responsible for administering funds and providing budgetary oversight for 3.1 million federal dollars and 1.3 million municipal dollars annually.

II. Terrance, has a proven track record as the former Director of Constituent Affairs under the auspices of the Office of the Mayor, between June 2006 and December 2008.

· Introduced and hosted the Mayors Open Hours Program where over 350,000 direct engagements occurred, including one-on-one meetings with Mayor, follow-up to constituent complaints, calls, emails and letters between residents and the mayors’ office of constituent affairs.

· Planned and hosted over 1,000 youth, family and seniors between 2006-2008

· Assisted in developing over 100 block associations

· Attended and presented information and answered city related inquires at over 2500 “documented” community meetings (city-wide)
