TALAB 2017

Talakayang Alay sa Bayan (TALAB) is an activity of the Ateneo de Manila University’s Loyola Schools that seeks to engage students and the wider community in a discussion of critical social issues. This school year’s TALAB will tackle the Sustainable Development Goals and other long-term visions of the future. TALAB is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17 for undergraduates and Saturday, October 14 for alumni and undergraduates. Undergraduate classes are called off on October 17 and will be replaced by TALAB activities.

This eventbrite page is for Ateneo de Manila University graduates who wish to register for TALAB2017 events scheduled for October 14. ADMU undergraduates will have their own registration process. Walk-ins are welcome but will only be allowed to enter the venues if there are still vacant seats.

The Sustainable Development Goals articulate 17 goals and 169 targets that all United Nations member countries seek to achieve by the year 2030. These goals and targets include a wide range of social, economic, political, and environmental indicators. The various activities of TALAB for School Year 2017-2018 will explore the various goals and targets included in the SDGs. TALAB SY 2017-2018 will also include activities that will interrogate the SDGs themselves and discuss alternative long-term visions for society.
