Taking Initiative to Survive

The Emma Jacobs Foundation was formed in 2000, one year before Emma was diagnosed with breast cancer.  In the subsequent years, Emma focused more on raising money for Breast Cancer Research.  The funds have supported Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, The Rose, and MD Anderson Cancer Center for Breast Cancer research and development.

Since 2006, she has partnered with Wine makers in California and Texas to create a Rose wine to further benefit the Foundation.

Taking the Initiative to Survive was formed in 2010 and a Board was created. The generous support and donations from board members, family and friends have been instrumental in fundraising efforts.
