Suzanne Kyra

Suzanne is a professional and personal master in living joyously. According to Malcolm Gladwell, the author of Blink, a master is someone who has spent over 10,000 hours practicing a task. Suzanne is a master four times over, with over 43,000 hours of experience professionally counseling people one-on-one, groups, and corporations, to overcome their obstacles and to live a life full of satisfaction, peace, joy and success. Suzanne calls this Living Big. She is a North America renowned clinical counsellor with over thirty years of clinical practice in Vancouver, Canada.


Suzanne Kyra is an international empowerment speaker, certified coach, CEO and co-founder of Living Big retreats with son Zachary Kyra-Derksen. She has the honor of being the recipient of the Woman of Worth Award for Spirit Success and Soul, and is the Gold Benjamin Franklin award recipient for a book she co-created with her son Nathan Derksen. The book is titled Welcome Home To Yourself.

In addition, she is a Clinical Supervisor at Simon Fraser University in Canada, and is on the Foundation Board of Douglas College in Canada.

Her life’s training and practice have focused on helping others to overcome injustice and educating individuals, families and businesses to move forward to live bigger than they ever imagined.

Suzanne Kyra’s new broadcasts include “Living Big Radio with Suzanne Kyra and Zachary Kyra-Derksen” and “Grief is Not All Its Cracked Up to Be.” These delightful programs are fun, insightful and empowering. Suzanne Kyra and Zachary Kyra-Derksen also produce bi-monthly teleseminars for the Living Big community.
