Susanne M. Wagner (University of St. Thomas)

At the University of St. Thomas, Susanne is the German program director, the advisor of the German club, the Ballroom Dance Club, and the National German Honor Society.  She has organized campus and community events such as the 25th Anniversary of the Fall of the Wall (2014), 25 Years of German Unity (2015), and the Germany meets the US (2016). 

Susanne is a cultural and literary historian focusing on 19th-/20st century Germany with a research emphasis on resistance literature, Holocaust memorialization, and a passion for foreign language acquisition.

Active in the profession, she has held positions on the state, regional, and national level.  Currently, she is a member of the Executive Council of the American Council of Teachers of German (AATG) as Midwest Regional Representative, the AATG-Minnesota Testing Chair, and a member of the CSCTFL Advisory Board. Committed as an AATG-Consultant/GI Mulitplikator she regularly organizes and holds teaching workshops and professional development seminars for K-16 German teachers.
