The Student Global Ambassador Program (SGAP) is a 501 C 3 for-purpose educational organization based in Silver Spring, Maryland and Teaneck, New Jersey. Since its inception, SGAP designed unique, out-of-classroom learning opportunities for 1500 youth (ages 12 and up); as well as, forged partnerships with 61 middle schools and high schools, 4 Universities, and 3 Corporations. SGAP student leaders are groomed to be global leaders and are exposed to a dynamic range of global issues such as climate change, renewable energy and cap and trade.
SGAP students have a passion for or interest in issues of global significance. Moreover, SGAP students have a propensity to become leaders in their schools and the greater community, and show a keen interest in becoming positive change agents, locally and globally.
All the themes of our programs align with the 17 Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. One of the themes for 2017 is eliminating food deserts - which aligns with the SDGs goal of eradicating poverty.
