Stephanie Rodriguez

Alan Rodriguez was 18 years old when he was diagnosed.

The diagnosis took several months, and finally a week at All Childrens Hospital where a resident found the Keiser Fleshier Rings and figured it out. The most shocking thing was how difficult it is to find a physician who knows how to diagnose, treat and follow a Wilsons Patient. It was even difficult to find a family doctor to have for normal things like the flu or something, most were afraid to take on a patient with Wilsons Disease.

Wilsons Disease is treatable if diagnosed and treated properly. Patients can live a good life with proper care.  And no, we are not contagious.

We are hosting a Big WOW to bring awareness to Wilsons Disease for our community and beyond.
