St. Stanislaus Catholic Community is the oldest Catholic parish in Modesto. Orginally formed as a mission church in 1878, the community was recognized as a parish in 1881 by Archbishop Alemany. Today this vibrant community boasts two campuses -- one in downtown Modesto and the other on Maze Blvd. The downtown campus is home to the 1913 church, St. Vincent de Paul, a parish hall and parish offices. At the Maze Blvd. campus there is a preschool, elementary school, convent, youth house, community center, sports fields and the iconic St. Stanislaus Church dedicated February 15, 2009.
