Spectrum Arts Society

SAS is a 501(c)3 performing arts organization in Central Virginia that seeks to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ people and their allies through musical achievement.

Lynchburg Alliance Community Choir was founded in 2016 with the purpose of extending the reach of education programs of LGBTQ+ issues through artistic achievement. Our first rehearsal was held on August 4, 2016 and by the end of 2016, we had performed at Get Downtown!, The Transgender Day of Remembrance and as guest performers with Monument City Music in Richmond.

After our inaugural performance on April 1, 2017, LACC began its transition to its new name and home. Now known as Inspirare at Spectrum Arts Society, we hope to inspire others to ignite change in their communities and to promote love for music and each other.

Inspirare rehearses at First Christian Church of Lynchburg, and the entire Chorus deeply appreciates the church’s warmth and hospitality.
