Somali Stock Exchange (Strategic Partner)

Founded in March 2011, the Somali Stock Exchange (SSE) was launched by the Somali Economic Forum (SEF) in September 2015.

The SSE was established to attract investment from both Somali-owned firms and global companies, in order to speed-up the post-conflict reconstruction process in Somalia.

In November 2015, the Somali Stock Exchange established administrative offices in Mogadishu, Hargeisa, and other urban centres in Somalia. It also set-up a bureau in Nairobi, staffed by Somali stockbrokers and trained staff.

On the 1st of September, 2015, the Somali Stock Exchange (SSE) began selling its first shares at the Exchange's headquarters in Garowe, Somalia. The SEE also held its first conference at the Puntland Chambers of Commerce in Bosaso, during its launch.
