This division of SHABACH! Ministries, Inc. has a multi-faceted approach which leads individuals to self-discovery and professional growth. SHABACH! Career Services Division partners with employers and organizations to strengthen employment of our residents.  We endeavor to help place the job seeker in a position to leverage their skills and abilities for future employment and increased earnings.

Our Employment Readiness classes are made of a three-part series:

How to Get a Good Government Job”, “Resume Writing Workshop” and The Interview.

These classes are for federal and nonfederal participants and outlines the application process, developing appropriate federal/non-federal resume statements, high impact words, writing clear descriptions of work experience and identifying opportunities. In addition, students bring their current resume to class and our team works with those attending to prepare a federal resume. After completing the first two class, you are eligible to enroll in

The “Interview” training class. Mock interviews are given by current and retired federal senior managers to senior level executives, Executive Directors, SES, and State Executives.

We are excited about our new Bring Your ‘A’ Game to Work program which focuses on developing foundational soft skills such as showing up for work, conflict resolution, willingness to take direction, and expressing professionalism.

Our SHABACH! Summer Youth Employment Program is partnering with the Prince George’s County Office of Human Resource Management and the Youth@Work program in placing youth in 1000 positions over the summer. Young people between the ages of 14 and 22 years old, who are Prince George’s County residents will have the opportunity to participate in career development, life-skills training and job training sponsored by Prince George's Community College (PGCC). The goal of the SHABACH! Career Services division is to provide a summer employment opportunity to every eligible, willing and interested young person who enrolls in the program.
