Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts is an organization of business leaders committed to changing the way the world does business, with a network of over 1,000 members. It is a Buy Local Group designated by the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture and is committed to building a strong local, green, and fair economy. Through its innovative and action-oriented programs, SBN is revolutionizing the local food economy in the Greater Boston area. Its programs include Local First Networks, the Sustainable Business Leadership Program, the New England-wide 10% Shift promotion and the Local Food Committee.
Through SBN’s Local Food Program, the organization brings together individuals and local food organizations to help increase the accessibility of local food and help build a strong local food system. SBN’s programs support local farmers, fishermen, food artisans and local food manufacturers by making connections with local food leaders, restaurants and eaters to create a more sustainable local food system. SBN’s Local Food programs include: Boston Local Food Festival, ALLocal Dinners, and the Buy Local Trade Show.
