San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge

San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge hosts one of the largest wintering population of Canvasbacks on the West Coast.  Located on the northernmost tip of San Francisco Bay, this national wildlife refuge protects endangered species such as the salt marsh harvest mouse and migratory birds.  It has the largest expanse of salt marsh habitat in the San Francisco Bay Area.

San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge is one of seven national wildlife refuges in the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
