San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity believes in bright futures that are built on a strong foundation.

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity began in 1990 under John “ACE” Cain’s visionary leadership. He and a local group of concerned citizens saw the need for affordable housing. Today, we have served nearly 500 men, women, and children and have changed the face of many neighborhoods. Through the years, we have maintained our determination to offer families strength and stability by providing a hand-up, not a handout. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the support received from generous donors and devoted volunteers. We are so thankful for every dollar donated, every ReStore donation and purchase, and every hour of time given. As we look to the future, we remain excited about the opportunity to be a blessing to future homeowners, to work tirelessly with volunteers, and to continue transforming the communities in the San Gabriel Valley!

Good people, working together, are the key at Habitat.

No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent place to live. We deserve to feel strength and stability day after day. We deserve to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and build our own futures.

The Habitat model creates a permanent housing solution for low-income families. From donors to volunteers to hard-working homeowners, we bring people together to build homes and hope.

At San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity, the cause of affordable housing unites us. Through shelter, we empower. Our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
